Indiana State Board approves new high school diploma design

State Representative Michelle Davis, vice chair of the House Education Committee, has responded to the Indiana State Board of Education's recent approval of a new high school diploma design. The redesign aims to better prepare students for the challenges of a changing world and workforce.

Davis stated, "Indiana's high school diploma redesign is a significant step toward ensuring students graduate prepared for a rapidly evolving world and workforce. By emphasizing flexibility, academic rigor and real-world experience, these updates reaffirm our commitment to investing in Hoosier students' development and future success."

She also acknowledged the efforts of the Indiana Department of Education and Indiana Secretary of Education Katie Jenner, saying, "I commend the Indiana Department of Education and Indiana Secretary of Education Katie Jenner for their leadership in putting Indiana students first."

The redesign reflects an emphasis on providing students with flexible learning opportunities that combine academic rigor with practical experiences.
