Newly elected State Representative Danny Lopez of Carmel has officially taken office to represent House District 39 in the Indiana General Assembly. The district encompasses parts of Carmel and Westfield.

The oath was administered by Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush during a swearing-in ceremony held in the House Chamber at the Statehouse on Organization Day, marking the beginning of the 2025 legislative session.

"Carmel and Westfield, like all of Hamilton County, play such a critical role in driving our state forward, and it is an honor to have the opportunity to represent these communities in the General Assembly," Lopez stated. "I can't wait to tackle the issues that are most important to Indiana’s future this session and beyond."

Lopez currently holds the position of Executive Vice President for Community and External Affairs and Corporate Communications at Pacers Sports & Entertainment. His previous roles include Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President at Strada Education Network, as well as various senior positions under Governors Eric Holcomb, Mike Pence, and Mitch Daniels.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Florida International University and a master's degree from Georgia State University. Lopez resides in Carmel with his wife Sofia and their two children.

Constituents can contact Lopez by calling 317-232-9600 or visiting in.gov/h39.
