Hunter Smith of Zionsville has officially assumed his role as the state representative for House District 24, covering parts of Boone and Hamilton counties. The oath was administered by Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush during a swearing-in ceremony held at the Statehouse on Organization Day, marking the beginning of the 2025 legislative session.

"I'm humbled by the opportunity to serve my community at the state level," Smith stated. "My goal is to represent the voices and values of House District 24 while supporting agricultural and environmental policies that make our state the best place to work and call home."

Smith, who owns WonderTree Farm specializing in regenerative farming practices, previously played as an NFL punter for both the Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and resides in Zionsville with his wife Jen and their four children.
