Indiana House Republicans have re-elected State Representative Todd Huston to continue serving as House Speaker. The decision was made during a caucus held in Indianapolis. Huston's confirmation by the full Indiana House of Representatives is anticipated on Organization Day, scheduled for November 19, marking the formal commencement of the 2025 legislative session.
"It's a tremendous honor and a privilege to lead our House Republican team, especially as Indiana's future has never looked brighter," Huston expressed. "We're ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work delivering results for Hoosier taxpayers and building on our track record of supporting strong families, schools, businesses and communities. I look forward to partnering with Governor-elect Mike Braun and our Senate colleagues in the session ahead."
Huston initially assumed the role of speaker in March 2020 following the retirement of Brian C. Bosma. This marks his second full term in this leadership position.
In addition to Huston's re-election, State Representative Greg Steuerwald has been re-elected as Majority Caucus Chair, State Representative Matt Lehman will continue as Majority Floor Leader, and Caroline Spotts remains as House Clerk.
