The deadline to apply for an internship with the Indiana House Republican during the 2025 legislative session is approaching. State Representatives Bob Heaton and Alan Morrison have announced that applications will close on October 31.

According to Heaton, this full-time internship runs from Monday through Friday at the Statehouse in Indianapolis during the legislative session, which begins in January and ends in April. Interns earn $900 biweekly and may receive academic credit from their college or university.

"Our internship program allows students to actively participate in the legislative process and offers valuable experience that can lead to exciting career opportunities," Heaton stated. "I encourage students and recent graduates to apply before the deadline."

Morrison highlighted that college sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates of all majors are eligible to apply by visiting indianahouserepublicans.com/internship before October 31.

"With opportunities to work in different departments, this internship gives students the chance to align their experience with their academic interests," Morrison said. "It's a tremendous opportunity to expand your skills and explore new career paths."

The Indiana House internships provide free parking, career development assistance, and access to an Indiana government class. Interns may also apply for a competitive $3,000 scholarship for undergraduate or graduate expenses.

The program offers positions across various departments such as legislative operations, policy, and communications.

Applications are available online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship until October 31.
