The deadline for applications to the Indiana House Republican internship program is approaching, with submissions due by October 31. State Representative Cindy Ledbetter (R-Newburgh) announced that this full-time internship will take place during the 2025 legislative session at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. The session is scheduled to begin in January and end in April.

Interns will work Monday through Friday and receive $900 biweekly. They also have the opportunity to earn academic credit through their college or university. "The internship program is a great opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in the real world," Ledbetter stated. "Whether you are looking to have a career in politics or are looking for more experience in the workplace, the Statehouse has a great internship program."

The program is open to college sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates from all majors. Interested individuals should visit indianahouserepublicans.com/internship to submit their applications before the deadline.

In addition to gaining practical experience, interns benefit from free parking, career and professional development support, and access to an Indiana government class. They may also apply for a competitive $3,000 scholarship for undergraduate and graduate expenses.

Internships are available across various departments including legislative operations, policy, and communications.

Applications can be completed online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship by October 31.
