The deadline for applications to the Indiana House Republican internship program is approaching, with State Representative Stephen Bartels announcing that interested candidates must apply by October 31. The internship will take place during the 2025 legislative session at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, running from January to April.

This full-time position requires interns to work Monday through Friday and offers a biweekly stipend of $900. Participants may also earn academic credit through their educational institutions. "The legislative session is a busy time for legislators and our staff," said Bartels. "Interns play a major role in making session efficient, which allows us to better serve Hoosiers."

Eligible applicants include college sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates from any major. Those interested should visit indianahouserepublicans.com/internship to submit their applications by the end of the month.

Interns will receive benefits such as free parking, career development assistance, and access to an Indiana government class. Additionally, they can apply for a $3,000 scholarship aimed at supporting undergraduate or graduate expenses.

The program provides opportunities across various departments like legislative operations, policy, and communications. Applications are available online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship.
