The deadline for applications to the Indiana House Republican internship program is approaching, with submissions due by October 31. This announcement comes from State Representatives Kendell Culp and Jack Jordan.
The internship, which takes place during the 2025 legislative session, offers a full-time position from Monday to Friday at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. The session will run from January through April. Interns receive $900 biweekly and may earn academic credit through their educational institutions.
"The deadline to apply for a House internship is right around the corner," said Culp. "With opportunities like working with our constituent services, policy or communications teams, students of any major can find the right fit. This is an excellent resume builder and I encourage local students to apply soon."
Jordan emphasized that college sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates of all majors should visit indianahouserepublicans.com/internship to complete their applications before the deadline.
"House interns are able to work with lawmakers and staff to build on their skills and apply them in a professional setting," Jordan stated. "I encourage all eligible students from my district to apply so they don't miss out on this rewarding experience."
Interns benefit from free parking, career development assistance, and access to an Indiana government class. They are also eligible for a competitive $3,000 scholarship for undergraduate or graduate expenses.
The program provides roles in various departments such as legislative operations, policy-making, and communications. Applications can be submitted online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship until October 31.
