The deadline to apply for an Indiana House Republican internship during the 2025 legislative session is nearing, according to State Representatives Jack Jordan and Jake Teshka. Applications are due by October 31.

This full-time internship runs from Monday through Friday at the Statehouse in Indianapolis during the legislative session, which begins in January and ends in April. Interns receive $900 biweekly and may earn academic credit through their educational institutions.

"House interns are able to work with lawmakers and staff to build on their skills and apply them in a professional setting," said Representative Jordan. He encouraged eligible students from his district to apply for this opportunity.

Representative Teshka highlighted that interested college sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates of all majors should visit indianahouserepublicans.com/internship to complete their applications before the deadline. "As a former intern, I was able to see and experience how the legislative process works, which was incredibly rewarding," he stated. "Interns will walk away with a new perspective on state government and see how laws affect Hoosiers."

The internship program includes free parking, career development assistance, and enrollment access to an Indiana government class. Interns can also apply for a competitive $3,000 scholarship for undergraduate or graduate expenses.

Students have opportunities to work in various departments related to their studies, such as legislative operations, policy, and communications.

Applications must be submitted online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship by October 31.
