The deadline to apply for an Indiana House Republican internship for the 2025 legislative session is approaching, as stated by State Representative Beau Baird from Greencastle. Applications are due by October 31.

This full-time internship takes place during the spring semester at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. It runs Monday through Friday throughout the legislative session, which begins in January and ends in April. Interns will receive $900 biweekly and have the opportunity to earn academic credit through their educational institutions.

"Interning at the Statehouse provides students with hands-on experience that prepares them for a wide range of careers," Baird noted. "From learning the legislative process to making valuable connections, this internship is an excellent opportunity for professional and personal growth."

Baird encourages college sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates from all majors to apply online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship before the deadline.

Internships offer benefits such as free parking, career development assistance, and access to an Indiana government class. Interns may also apply for a competitive $3,000 scholarship applicable toward undergraduate or graduate expenses.

The program allows students to work in departments related to their studies like legislative operations, policy, and communications.

Applications can be submitted online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship until October 31.
