The deadline for applying to the Indiana House Republican internship for the 2025 legislative session is nearing, as announced by State Representatives Lorissa Sweet and Craig Snow. The application period closes on October 31.

Representative Sweet highlighted that this full-time internship spans the spring semester, operating Monday through Friday at the Statehouse in Indianapolis from January to April. Interns will receive $900 biweekly and may earn academic credit through their educational institutions.

"Students who intern at the Statehouse can use their experience to enhance their resume and make connections that can lead to jobs in state government or the private sector," stated Sweet. She urged students from her area to apply promptly due to the approaching deadline.

Representative Snow encouraged college sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates of all majors to visit indianahouserepublicans.com/internship for application details before October 31. "The House Republican Internship Program provides a valuable experience to students who want to learn more about government and see how the lawmaking process works," said Snow. He described it as a rewarding opportunity that could distinguish applicants' resumes.

Internships include benefits such as free parking, career development support, and access to an Indiana government class. Interns may also compete for a $3,000 scholarship applicable toward educational expenses.
