City of Lawrence Wins Excellence in Placemaking Award
The City of Lawrence won an award for Excellence in Placemaking at the AIM conference! Thank you for honoring "Operation Fort Ben – Creating Space and Preserving History."
Over the past two decades, under the guidance of the Fort Harrison Reuse Authority and the City of Lawrence, 800 acres of a decommissioned military base has become a vibrant new downtown for Lawrence. The City has invested heavily in developing quality-of-life amenities to make Fort Ben a fun place to live, work, and play.
