Great Lakes Valley Conference recently issued the following announcement.
University of Southern Indiana junior Titus Winders and Quincy University freshman Paden Lewis have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the league office Wednesday.

- Became first USI runner to clock a sub-eight-minute 3,000-meter race in 7:59.58 (7:54.07 converted) to break school record and earn NCAA provisional time
- Ranks first in GLVC and second in NCAA
- Earns sixth career Indoor Track Athlete of the Week Award (2/23/22, 2/9/22, 1/26/22, 2/12/20, 1/16/20, 12/11/19, 12/11/18)
- Last Screaming Eagles’ Indoor Track Athlete of the Week: Titus Winders (2/9/22)
Paden Lewis, Quincy

Team Result: No Team Scores at EIU Friday Night Special (2/18)
- Won shot put with heave of 18.03 meters, breaking Quincy’s indoor school record
- Ranks first in GLVC and eighth in NCAA
- Placed second in weight throw with toss of 17.16 meters
- Earns first-ever Indoor Field Athlete of the Week Award for Quincy
