Indianapolis Public Schools recently issued the following announcement.

Thanksgiving Break (Nov. 24–26)

Please mark your calendars for Thanksgiving Break, which is November 24–26, 2021. 

Also, please make note of the district’s upcoming Professional Development Day and two recently added asynchronous learning days for students. 

Professional Development Day (Nov. 29)

• Nov. 29 is an IPS Professional Development Day, which means there is no school for students.

Asynchronous Learning Days (Nov. 30 and Jan. 3)

In an effort to provide teachers and instructional-based school staff additional time for planning, IPS has added two asynchronous learning days to the 2021-22 school year calendar. During these days, students will participate in remote learning from home.

Dates are:

• Nov. 30 (school work will be posted in Schoology by Nov. 23)
• Jan. 3 (school work will be posted in Schoology by Dec. 16)

Note: IPS Innovation schools may follow a different schedule, so please check your school calendar.
