CATHEDRAL HIGH SCHOOL: Cathedral Opens Search for Boys Soccer and Cheerleading Coaches

Sports2

Cathedral High School issued the following announcement on Mar 2.

Cathedral High School is announcing two staff changes within the athletic program. Whitey Kapsalis, our boys’ soccer coach, is stepping down to spend more time with his family. Kapsalis has two children playing soccer at Indiana University and wants to be able to travel and watch them play.

Kapsalis has been our boys’ soccer coach for three years. Each of those, our boys’ soccer team has won both the City Championship and the Sectional Championship. Our boys were regional finalists in 2018. The team record with Kapsalis is 35-33-5.

We are so grateful for the leadership Whitey Kapsalis has provided our program over the years, and we wish him and his family much success in the future!

Cathedral’s cheerleading coach, Kennedy Drago, is leaving her position to go to physician’s assistant school. We appreciate everything Drago has been able to accomplish with our cheer program in just one year, and we wish her all the best.

Searches have begun to fill both positions. Interested parties are encouraged to find the application on our website at gocathedral.com/careers.
