Carson highlighted the timing of the House Rules Committee meeting that commenced at 1 a.m., where he offered an amendment aimed at protecting healthcare.

André Carson has served in Congress since replacing Julia Carson in 2008 and has represented Indiana’s 7th District since then. Prior to Congress, he was part of the Indianapolis City-County Council from 2007-2008. Born in Indianapolis in 1974 and educated at Concordia University Wisconsin with a BA in 2003, Carson continues to reside in Indianapolis.
