State Representative Lori Goss-Reaves has recently introduced the Heart of 31 Award to honor individuals in House District 31 who have shown exceptional service to their communities. The inaugural recipients are Michael Moffitt and Kelly Monahan, both from Grant County.
Michael Moffitt, recognized for his contributions as an administrator in higher education and the corporate sector, is celebrated for his commitment to community and family. "Michael and Kelly represent the very best of our district as selfless, compassionate individuals who give generously and take time to work and help others," stated Goss-Reaves.
Kelly Monahan, a U.S. Air Force veteran, is acknowledged for her extensive volunteer work. She serves as board president of The Training Center and contributes to organizations such as United Way of Grant County, the Salvation Army Angel Tree, and the Greater Grant County Chamber of Commerce.
Goss-Reaves encourages residents to nominate others who make positive impacts within House District 31. Nominations can be submitted online under the "Heart of 31 Award" tab on the official website. Eligibility requires residency within House District 31, which can be confirmed using the "Find Your Legislator" tool at iga.in.gov.
Awardees will receive a certificate and recognition through Goss-Reaves' media channels.
