U.S. Senators Todd Young from Indiana and John Cornyn of Texas have reintroduced the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. This legislation aims to allow individuals with concealed carry privileges in their home state to exercise those rights in any other state that permits concealed carry, while adhering to that state's laws.
Senator Young stated, "The Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act will protect the constitutional rights of Hoosier gun owners by ensuring any individual who legally owns a gun in Indiana can transport or possess the firearm legally in other states without fear of prosecution."
A significant number of U.S. Senators have cosponsored this bill alongside Young and Cornyn. These include Bill Cassidy, Ted Cruz, Thom Tillis, Chuck Grassley, John Thune, Jim Banks, Kevin Cramer, Tommy Tuberville, Cindy Hyde-Smith, Bill Hagerty, Mike Lee, Tom Cotton, Jim Risch, Marsha Blackburn, Pete Ricketts, Roger Marshall, Rick Scott, James Lankford, Katie Britt, Lindsey Graham, Cynthia Lummis, Ted Budd, Ron Johnson, Tim Sheehy, John Kennedy, Mike Crapo, Steve Daines, Eric Schmitt, Dan Sullivan; John Barrasso; Tim Scott; Bernie Moreno; Deb Fischer; Jerry Moran; Mike Rounds; John Curtis; John Boozman; Joni Ernst; Roger Wicker; John Hoeven; Markwayne Mullin and Shelley Moore Capito.
