With the legislative session approaching, Hendricks County lawmakers are urging residents to participate in online surveys to provide feedback on key issues. Residents can access these surveys through their state representative's webpage by clicking the "Take My Survey" button.

The representatives for Hendricks County include State Rep. Becky Cash (R-Zionsville) of House District 25, State Rep. Craig Haggard (R-Mooresville) of House District 57, and State Rep. Greg Steuerwald (R-Avon) of House District 40. Their respective webpages are in.gov/h25, in.gov/h57, and in.gov/h40.

State Rep. Becky Cash stated, "Lawmakers rely on feedback when considering potential legislation," and expressed her desire to hear from constituents as the budget session approaches.

To complete a survey, residents must live within the district and submit it by December 31. Constituents can verify their district at iga.in.gov by using the "Find Your Legislator" feature. Surveys have also been mailed to constituents' homes.

"This survey is an important tool for fostering dialogue between lawmakers and the people we represent," said Haggard. He emphasized that hearing from Hoosiers allows him to advocate effectively for his district.

The upcoming legislative session will begin on January 8 and conclude by April 29. Residents can track proceedings at iga.in.gov, where they can access proposed legislation details and watch livestreams of hearings and sessions.

"I always appreciate receiving feedback from my constituents on where they stand with some of the most important issues," said Steuerwald. He encouraged participation in the survey process to ensure that voices are heard by legislators.
