With the upcoming legislative session in Indiana, lawmakers from Shelby County are urging residents to participate in online surveys to share their opinions on key issues. These surveys are available on the webpages of State Representatives Jennifer Meltzer, Robb Greene, and Cory Criswell.

"Having an open line of communication between lawmakers and constituents is key to helping our communities succeed," said Representative Meltzer. She emphasized the importance of hearing from her district's residents to effectively represent them.

To take part in these surveys, individuals must reside in the respective district and submit their responses by December 31. Constituents can verify their House district by visiting the Indiana General Assembly's website.

Representative Greene highlighted the value of dialogue with constituents: "Open dialogue is key to keeping the government by the people, for the people." He encouraged participation as a way for Hoosiers to communicate directly with him about pressing topics.

The legislative session is set to begin on January 8 and will conclude by April 29. During this period, residents can follow proceedings online at iga.in.gov, where they can access information on proposed legislation and watch committee hearings.

"The next legislative session will reflect the current needs and priorities of Hoosiers," said Representative Criswell. He stressed that feedback through these surveys will be crucial in shaping legislative work.
