State Representative Bruce Borders from Jasonville has been appointed to three significant House committees. He will take on the role of vice chair for the House Local Government Committee and will also serve on the House Insurance Committee, as well as the House Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development Committee.

Borders expressed his commitment to advancing local interests by stating, "Our communities thrive when local governments, businesses and families have the tools they need to succeed. I'm honored to continue working on legislation that strengthens Indiana's economy and protects Hoosiers' livelihoods."

Committee appointments in the Indiana House are determined biennially by the Speaker following November elections and last for two-year terms.

The legislative session for 2025 is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. on January 8. Residents of Indiana can access information about legislation, calendars, and committee meetings via iga.in.gov.

Borders invites constituents to stay informed by signing up for e-newsletter updates at in.gov/h45 regarding activities at the Statehouse during the legislative session and beyond.
