State Rep. Ed Soliday of Valparaiso has been reappointed as chair of the House Utilities, Energy and Telecommunications Committee. In addition to this role, he will serve on the House Roads and Transportation Committee.

"Our energy supply will once again be among the most important topics this session," Soliday stated. "As chair of the House Utilities, Energy and Telecommunication Committee, I will continue to build upon our current energy policies and maintain the five pillars of reliability, resiliency, stability, affordability and environmental sustainability."

Committee appointments in the Indiana House are made biennially by the House Speaker following the November elections. These appointments last for members' two-year terms.

The first day of the 2025 legislative session is scheduled for January 8 at 1:30 p.m. Hoosiers can access iga.in.gov to track legislation, view calendars, and watch committee meetings and sessions.

Soliday encourages constituents to visit in.gov/h4 to sign up for e-newsletter updates about activities at the Statehouse during and beyond the legislative session.
