State Representatives Elizabeth Rowray and J.D. Prescott have been appointed to serve on key House standing committees at the Statehouse. These appointments are made biennially by the Indiana House Speaker following the November elections and remain in effect for two years.
Elizabeth Rowray, representing Yorktown, will be a member of the House Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development Committee. She has also been reappointed to the House Ways and Means Committee and the House Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee. Rowray stated, "Supporting Indiana’s families, businesses, and economic growth is at the heart of my legislative priorities. I’m excited to collaborate with my colleagues to craft policies that create jobs, strengthen families, and ensure a strong future for our state."
J.D. Prescott from Union City will join the House Ways and Means Committee, as well as serve on the House Elections and Apportionment Committee and the House Judiciary Committee. Prescott emphasized the importance of committee work: "I'm honored to serve on these important committees and look forward to working with my colleagues to address the critical issues facing our state," he said. "Committee work is the foundation of the legislative process, and I'm eager to work on policies that will benefit Indiana."

J.D. Prescott represents House District 33 which includes Blackford County, Randolph County, as well as parts of Delaware County, Henry County, and Jay County.
