André Carson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Indiana's 7th district, recently shared a series of tweets addressing key political and economic issues. The congressman replaced Julia Carson in 2008 and has since been an active voice in legislative matters.

On December 4, 2024, Carson criticized the president-elect’s proposed tariffs, stating "The president-elect’s proposed tariffs would cost Americans thousands of dollars a year. Tariffs won’t help the economy and they’ll make the average family suffer." He assured that "@HouseDemocrats will continue to stand with the middle class." He expressed gratitude towards @PoliticsNation and @TheRevAl for their support.

On December 5, 2024, Carson participated in a hearing with the Committee on Climate Crisis Policy Democrats (CCPDems), where he emphasized strengthening America's industrial base and workforce. He highlighted concerns over shipbuilding capabilities by noting "The U.S. is behind on shipbuilding compared to China, and we need to catch up to meet demand." In his tweet, he mentioned his pleasure at meeting Hoosiers like Representative Vanessa Summers, Senator La Keisha Jackson, and Representative Carolyn Jackson by stating "Always great to see some Hoosiers!"
