The deadline for applying to the Indiana House Republican internship program is approaching, with applications closing on October 31. This opportunity offers a full-time internship during the 2025 legislative session, running from January to April at the Statehouse in Indianapolis.

State Representative Michelle Davis emphasized the benefits of this internship for students across various fields of study. "Whether you're studying political science, communications or any other field, our internships provide a solid foundation for future success," she said. Interns will receive $900 biweekly and may earn academic credit through their college or university.

Representative Craig Haggard encouraged college sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates to apply by visiting indianahouserepublicans.com/internship before the deadline. "This opportunity is a chance for students to gain real world experience and learn from legislators and staff," he stated.

Internships include free parking, career development assistance, and access to an Indiana government class. Additionally, interns can apply for a $3,000 scholarship toward educational expenses. Representative Peggy Mayfield noted that interns build professional networks while gaining insights into state government operations. "It's a fantastic steppingstone for anyone looking to launch their career," she commented.

Representative Robb Greene highlighted opportunities within various departments such as legislative operations and communications. He stated that the program provides valuable work-based experience: "I highly recommend Hoosier students take advantage of this opportunity to earn and learn this legislative session."

Applications are available online at indianahouserepublicans.com/internship until October 31.
