State Rep. Jake Teshka (R-North Liberty) released a statement today regarding the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Amazon Web Services (AWS) data center in North Central Indiana. AWS plans to invest $11 billion to construct a data center campus in New Carlisle, which is expected to create at least 1,000 new jobs. This investment represents the largest capital investment announcement in Indiana's history.
"The addition of Amazon Web Services will deliver significant and long-lasting benefits to our region by boosting job opportunities, increasing economic development and spurring our economy," said Teshka. "As a state representative, I will work hard to ensure AWS continues to collaborate with our local communities, which will be most impacted, to ensure this growth is a win-win for all."
