City Awarded Community Crossing Matching Grant

The City of Lawrence was awarded $757,922.46 today from Community Crossing Matching Grants! We will match the funds for a total of over $1.5 million in road improvement projects coming in 2023.

Today's event was hosted at The Garrison, and Mayor Steve Collier gave the opening remarks. Mayor Collier, along with Deputy Mayor Dave Hofmann, Chief of Staff Cori Korn, Controller Tyler Douthit, Streets Director Jim Heneghan, and City Clerk Kathy Walton accepted the check on behalf of Lawrence.

229 Indiana cities, towns, and counties received a combined $119 million+ in state matching funds for local road projects through Community Crossings this year.
