Free/Reduced Price Meals Applications

Families who may qualify for free and reduced meals must submit an application. 

Applications open on July 1, 2022. 

Eligibility for textbook assistance is determined by the free/reduced lunch application so all are encouraged to apply.

• All families must re-apply for free/reduced benefits each year, even if your student received them in the previous year. Families need not apply ONLY if they are directly certified-those who receive Medicaid, TANF, SNAP, etc. Qualified families will be notified by mail.
• Incoming freshman / transfer student families – Please read: You can only apply for free/reduced lunch & activate mealtime accounts once your student is loaded in Powerschool and they receive an ID #. (Details will be posted when available.) Benefits are applied immediately after processing. Families who previously received free/reduced lunch at other schools must re-apply at Bishop Chatard. Families need not apply only if they are directly certified-those who receive Medicaid, TANF, SNAP, etc. Qualified families will be notified by mail.
• If your situation changes, applications can be made at any time throughout the school year.
• If a student qualifies for free/reduced lunches, he/she automatically qualifies for textbook assistance.
