State Rep. Michelle Davis welcomed Cana Guilfoy, a student at Whiteland Community High School, to the Statehouse on May 18 as part of the Indiana House Page Program during the 2026 legislative session.
The program offers students an opportunity to observe government operations firsthand and learn about the legislative process.
“Students gain a deeper understanding of government when they get to see it in person,” Davis said. “It’s an unforgettable experience to witness firsthand how decisions are made here at the Statehouse.”
Guilfoy spent her day interacting with lawmakers and session staff, touring the Statehouse, and joining Davis on the House floor to watch legislation being considered.
Information about participating in future sessions is available for students ages 13 to 18 by visiting indianahouserepublicans.com/pageprogram.
Davis said programs like this help foster civic engagement among young people.
