Millikin Big Blue edge out Coe Kohawks 7-6 as Abby Willis shines with 4 hits

On Sunday, March 8, at 3 p.m., Abby Willis, a former Roncalli High School standout, helped her college team, the Millikin Big Blue, claim a 7-6 win in their NCAA Division III softball matchup with the Coe Kohawks.

Workman Family Softball Field hosted the contest, which marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. The Big Blue dropped their earlier game to Coe on Saturday, March 7, by a 5-3 score.

Willis delivered four hits in five at-bats, adding one run and four RBIs.

Millikin’s next contest is set for Sunday, March 22, at 1 p.m. at Central College Softball Field against the Central Dutch.
