Congressman Jefferson Shreve, who represents Indiana’s 6th congressional district, recently highlighted several legislative and community activities on his social media account.

On May 15, 2026, Shreve announced the passage of the 2027 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act in the House. He wrote: “The 2027 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act passed the House. For #IN06 and Indiana veterans, that means:

$27.5 million for a new hangar at Shelbyville’s Army Aviation Support Facility
A new VA hospital to replace the 75-year-old Roudebush VA”
.

The following day, on May 16, Shreve posted about meeting with members of the Indiana Leadership Forum class in Washington D.C., stating: “Glad to meet with this year’s Indiana Leadership Forum class here in D.C.

ILF prepare rising Hoosier leaders for greater civic involvement and public service. I appreciated the chance to discuss my work in Congress, and answer thoughtful questions from young Hoosiers, committed”.

Later that same day, he referenced an encounter with astronauts involved in NASA’s Artemis II mission: “Caught up with the Artemis II crew between appropriations hearings.

Four astronauts. 252,756 miles from Earth. Farther than any humans have ever traveled.

For all humanity — and made possible by American leadership. #ArtemisII #IN06″.

Jefferson Shreve has served as U.S. Representative for Indiana’s 6th district since being elected in November 2024. The Artemis II mission is part of NASA’s ongoing efforts to return humans to lunar orbit as a precursor to future deep space exploration missions.
