Congressman Jefferson Shreve, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Indiana and participant in the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s Highways subcommittee, recently shared updates on his activities through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).

On August 28, 2025, Shreve highlighted his focus on infrastructure development: “In my work on the @TransportGOP Highways subcommittee, we’re focused on rebuilding America’s infrastructure. We need A LOT of concrete  to make that happen. Heidelberg Cement built a $650M plant here in Indiana.  I was eager to get a close-up look this week!” The congressman referenced Heidelberg Cement’s recent investment in Indiana, noting its significance for local construction and infrastructure projects.

The following day, August 29, Shreve reported meeting with local agricultural stakeholders: “.@INFarmBureau pulled Fayette county growers together in Glenwood. We discussed the tax relief offered to farm families in the One Big Beautiful Bill. We talked trade, tariff and labor policies…all of which matter mightily to our Hoosiers farmers.” He emphasized ongoing discussions about tax relief measures included in proposed legislation as well as other policy issues relevant to Indiana farmers.

Later that same day, Shreve addressed fuel prices ahead of Labor Day weekend: “As Hoosiers hit the highways this Labor Day weekend, you can look forward to the lowest gas prices in 5 years! We’re unleashing American energy dominance — bringing lower prices at the pumps for Hoosier families.”

Jefferson Shreve serves as an advocate for both infrastructure improvements and agricultural interests within Indiana. His recent remarks reflect ongoing federal efforts to invest in critical sectors such as transportation and farming while also responding to consumer concerns like fuel costs.
