Congressman Jefferson Shreve, who represents Indiana’s 6th Congressional District, shared updates on his recent engagements in Wayne County and Indianapolis through a series of posts on February 20, 2026.
In the morning, Shreve visited Liberation Bioindustries in Wayne County. He wrote, “I visited Liberation Bioindustries in Wayne County — a company building a precision fermentation bio-manufacturing facility in Richmond. We talked about what it’ll take to bring this project online, and what it could mean for jobs and investment in eastern Indiana.” (February 20, 2026).
Later that day, Shreve met with local leaders at Firehouse BBQ and Blues to discuss community priorities. In his post he stated, “Met with local leaders in Wayne County over lunch at Firehouse BBQ and Blues to talk through priorities for the community. On the “menu”: economic development, trade policy, tax relief for working families, and needed improvements to I-70 — including how federal funding can help” (February 20, 2026).
In the evening, Shreve sat down with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Chief Tanya Terry and Fraternal Order of Police President Rick Snyder. He posted, “I sat down with IMPD Chief Tanya Terry — a 27-year IMPD veteran now leading Indianapolis’ police force — along with FOP President Rick Snyder. We discussed the challenges our officers are facing and the tools and technology @IMPDnews is using to help keep Indy neighborhoods” (February 20, 2026).
Wayne County is located in eastern Indiana and includes Richmond as its county seat. The region has focused on economic development initiatives to address industrial decline and attract new investment. Congressman Shreve’s district covers much of eastern Indiana and includes both urban centers like Indianapolis as well as rural communities.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) serves the city of Indianapolis. Recent years have seen increased attention on law enforcement resources and strategies aimed at improving public safety across neighborhoods.
