Nuri Rodriguez from Christian Park School 82 was celebrated with applause from students and colleagues. She consistently supports staff and students while maintaining high expectations for herself and others.”
At George Washington High School, Justice was honored for helping students develop confidence in mathematics through strong relationships and high expectations. Dr. Gregory Paxon, dean of students, said, “As the leader of the Kindness Club, she promotes a culture of positivity and support. She shows up for our students in every way—from the classroom to extracurriculars—and truly embodies what it means to care for a school community.”
Superintendent Dr. Aleesia Johnson said Rodriguez and Justice represent excellence within Indianapolis Public Schools: “Like our entire IPS teaching staff, Nuri and Megan lead with heart, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to their students. Every day, they are changing lives. That impact will be felt in our schools and throughout our community for years to come.”
