The Indianapolis Local Education Alliance (ILEA) is set to convene for its inaugural meeting on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. This city-led body was established by the Indiana General Assembly with a mandate to develop plans focusing on facility and transportation management, governance structure, and enhancing efficiency within the education sector.

The meeting aims to create a foundational understanding of the historical context, key terms, and governance dynamics influencing education in Indianapolis. The agenda includes an overview of ILEA’s responsibilities, a review of recent policy developments and school funding, along with initial data setting the context for future discussions. Public comment will be part of the meeting proceedings.

The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in the Public Assembly Room on the second floor of the City-County Building located at 200 E. Washington St., with a livestream available on Channel 16.

Those wishing to participate in public comments can sign up starting at noon two days before the meeting or submit their comments online.
