Grant County native Trinity Jackson is gaining experience as an intern with State Representative Lori Goss-Reaves and other members of the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2026 legislative session, according to a March 13 announcement.

The internship program offers college students and recent graduates a chance to learn about the legislative process firsthand. This opportunity is seen as important for those interested in careers in law and public service.

Jackson, who graduated from Eastbrook High School and recently completed her studies at Indiana Wesleyan University with a major in pre-law and political science, said, “This internship has opened many doors for my future. I’ve gained valuable experience and developed skills that will benefit me as I pursue a career in law and public service.”

As part of her duties, Jackson corresponds with constituents through phone calls, letters, and emails while also staffing committee hearings and floor proceedings. Goss-Reaves said, “Internships like this give students a firsthand look at how the legislative process works. Trinity has embraced every opportunity to learn and contribute during this session.”
