The Indianapolis Colts announced on Mar. 16 that they have signed free agent safety Juanyeh Thomas.
Thomas, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 217 pounds, spent the first three seasons of his National Football League career with the Dallas Cowboys. During his time with Dallas, he played in 36 games and started four times, recording five pass break-ups, 62 tackles, and one forced fumble.
While Thomas has primarily contributed on special teams—logging a total of 706 snaps—he also saw increased action on defense last season. He played a career-high 266 defensive snaps for the Cowboys despite appearing in only seven games during that period.
Thomas began his professional football journey as an undrafted free agent from Georgia Tech in 2023. His family also has ties to the league; his brother Azareye’h is currently a cornerback for the New York Jets after being selected in the third round of the 2025 draft.
The addition of Thomas brings further depth to the Colts’ secondary as they prepare for the upcoming season.
