The Indianapolis Colts announced on March 11 that they have officially re-signed wide receiver Alec Pierce.
Pierce had previously revealed his intention to remain with the team during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, coinciding with the opening of the National Football League’s free agent negotiation window.
In the 2025 season, Pierce recorded 47 receptions for 1,003 yards and six touchdowns. He led the league in yards per catch in both 2024 (22.3) and 2025 (21.3). This achievement made him the first player since Flipper Anderson in 1989 and 1990 to average more than 20 yards per catch on at least 35 receptions in consecutive seasons.
Pierce was originally selected by the Colts as a second-round pick, number 53 overall, from Cincinnati in the 2022 NFL Draft.
The re-signing secures a key offensive contributor for Indianapolis as they prepare for the upcoming season.
