The Indianapolis Colts announced on Mar. 9 that they have re-signed kicker Blake Grupe.
Grupe, who is 27 years old, joined the Colts as a free agent in December and played in the final five games of the 2025 season. During those games, he made all 11 of his field goal attempts and was successful on all 10 extra point tries.
Among his notable achievements, Grupe kicked four field goals from distances of 50 yards or more. This included a franchise-record 60-yard go-ahead field goal late in Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field.
Grupe initially joined the team’s practice squad before being promoted to the active roster in December. He replaced Michael Badgley, who had stepped in for Spencer Shrader after Shrader suffered a season-ending knee injury during Week 5 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Shrader had previously been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month last September and remains on the Colts’ roster.
The decision to re-sign Grupe follows his consistent performance and reliability during critical moments late in the season.
