The Indianapolis Colts announced on Mar. 19 that they have re-signed cornerback Cameron Mitchell.
Mitchell, who was selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, played for both the Colts’ practice squad and active roster during the 2025 season. He appeared in eight games last year, where he recorded four passes defensed, two tackles for loss, and made 18 tackles.
Before joining the Colts, Mitchell spent three years with the Cleveland Browns from 2023 to 2025. During his time with the Browns, he played in 32 games and accumulated a total of 43 tackles, two tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, one forced fumble, and four passes defensed.
The move adds depth to the Colts’ secondary as they prepare for the upcoming season. The team has not released further details about contract terms or expectations for Mitchell’s role moving forward.
