U.S. Senators Todd Young and Jacky Rosen have introduced a resolution urging the release of hostages still held by Hamas. The bipartisan effort follows the recent release of Israeli-American Edan Alexander, while 58 hostages remain captive.

Senator Young emphasized the ongoing commitment to securing the freedom of those still held: “As part of its terrorist attacks on Israel, Hamas took innocent Americans and Israelis hostage. Since that day, we have grieved the lives of those murdered in captivity by Hamas, gladly welcomed home those who have been freed, and continued to demand the safe release of the remaining hostages.” He added his support for the resolution as a demonstration that “the United States will not give up until all hostages are free.”

Senator Rosen expressed similar sentiments regarding the urgency of the situation: “The remaining Israeli hostages have been inhumanely held by Hamas for almost 600 days. While I’m overjoyed about Edan’s release, we cannot stop pushing until Hamas releases every single remaining hostage.” She highlighted the importance of unity and leadership from the White House on this issue.

In parallel, U.S. Representatives French Hill and Haley Stevens have led a companion resolution in the House.

The full text of the resolution is available online.
