On April 10, 2025, Carson shared his decision to oppose the SAVE Act, stating, “I voted NO on the SAVE Act. It’s voter suppression, plain and simple.” According to Carson, the bill could affect over 1.5 million Indiana women whose married names differ from their birth certificates, about 65% of Hoosiers without passports, and servicemembers deployed overseas.
The following day, on April 11, 2025, Carson tweeted about hosting a free webinar focused on immigration services. He criticized the former administration by stating, “The Trump administration is creating fear, chaos, and confusion in the immigrant community.” Carson plans to discuss executive orders affecting the immigrant community during the webinar scheduled for April 16.
