André Carson, U.S. Congressman representing Indiana’s 7th district, highlighted his annual Youth Opportunities Fair and addressed social issues in a series of posts on March 13 and 14, 2026.

On March 13, Carson reported the results of his event with Ivy Tech Community College: “My annual Youth Opportunities Fair with @IvyTechCC was a success! We helped close to 200 young people find jobs, internships, and other opportunities ahead of the summer months.” Later that day, he reiterated the significance of the fair by stating: “I’m proud to host my annual Youth Opportunities Fair to provide students the opportunity to enter the workforce. Investing in young people allows for stronger communities, a stronger workforce, and a bright future for Indianapolis.”

The following day, Carson commented on broader societal concerns: “None of these isms and phobias have a place in our society.”

Carson has represented Indiana’s 7th district in Congress since 2008 after previously serving on the Indianapolis City-County Council from 2007 to 2008. He was born in Indianapolis in 1974 and continues to reside there. Carson earned his bachelor’s degree from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2003.
