André Carson, U.S. Congressman representing Indiana’s 7th district since 2008, has recently addressed several community and national issues through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On August 4, 2025, Carson highlighted efforts to enhance public safety at local events, stating, “The Indiana State Fair is here! I want to make sure families can enjoy this experience stress free. That’s why I introduced the National Amusement Park Ride Safety Act to prevent accidents before they happen and make sure we all feel safe while having fun. Learn more about my”.

The following day, August 5, Carson encouraged constituents to attend a local employment event by posting, “There’s still time to stop by my Job & Resource Fair today! https://t.co/JwzwPRItFb”.

On August 6, Carson criticized federal immigration enforcement practices and rhetoric from the current administration. He wrote, “Report after report confirms that ICE is detaining legal, law-abiding immigrants. It is illegal, unjust, and does nothing to make us safer – these families do not pose a threat to our community.

Carson has represented Indiana’s 7th district in Congress since succeeding Julia Carson in 2008 and previously served on the Indianapolis City-County Council from 2007 to 2008. Born in Indianapolis in 1974 and currently residing there, he graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree.
