André Carson, U.S. Congressman representing Indiana’s 7th district, has recently posted several updates on his official X (formerly Twitter) account addressing local funding concerns and constituent services.

On October 7, 2025, Carson criticized the Trump administration for rescinding clean energy funding in Indianapolis, stating: “The Trump administration just eliminated $6.7 million in clean energy funding for Indianapolis International Airport’s award-winning solar farm. I’m fighting to get this funding back because it belongs to Indianapolis, not President Trump.”

A day later, on October 8, 2025, Carson highlighted his office’s ongoing support for constituents: “My office is open and working for Hoosiers. Stop by our office hours at Southeast Community Services TODAY until 12pm to get staff assistance on federal agency needs—or share your thoughts on legislation issues.”

Carson also shared a post on October 6, 2025 with no accompanying text but linking to an external resource: https://t.co/BMqnyuuoPa.

André Carson has served in Congress since 2008 after succeeding Julia Carson and previously held a seat on the Indianapolis City-County Council from 2007 to 2008. Born in Indianapolis in 1974 and currently residing there, he holds a BA from Concordia University Wisconsin.
