On May 8, 2025, Carson criticized the Republican Party’s legislative priorities in a tweet. He stated, “What are Republicans doing today? Not lowering costs. Not creating jobs. They’re not even promoting ‘efficiency.’ They’re trying to rename the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America. It’s theater, not real governing.”
The following day, May 9, 2025, Carson highlighted efforts to recognize women veterans through an award from his office in another post. André Carson was born in Indianapolis in 1974 and has served in Congress since succeeding Julia Carson in 2008. Before this role, he was part of the Indianapolis City-County Council from 2007-2008.
