At the University of Indianapolis, 86 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students – age 24 or younger – and 64 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Indianapolis enrolled 5,935 students in fall 2018, including 4,508 in undergraduate and 1,427 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

82 percent of undergraduates are residents of Indiana, and 14 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (68 percent) and Black or African American (10 percent).

The school admitted 69 percent of the 10,206 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 17 percent enrolled.
